Girls Summer at Sea
Girls Summer at Sea is a 6-week course offered by the Tall Ship Education Academy that includes a three week sailing expedition along the California coast aboard Schooner Seaward. Similar to the well-known Tall Ship Semester for Girls, the Summer at Sea offers teenage girls experience-based academic credit as they participate in a challenging adventure. The course breaks into three integrated phases: two weeks in classroom-based preparation on the San Francisco State University campus, three weeks at sea aboard Schooner Seaward and a final week focused on a community service project. Get more information at the Tall Ship Education Academy site.
