Rates

These rates are intended for schools, youth groups, etc.

Bay Explorations program:
$35 per person, teachers are free, 30 person minimum

Custom Education Programs:
Weekdays $400/hour, three hour minimum
Weekends $425/hour, three hour minimum
Please call for full day rates.

Pick up at an alternate point besides the Bay Model in Sausalito:
$200 plus any docking fees.

For overnight programs (Voyage Seaward): Rates begin at $1800/night which includes food and program expenses. Please call for specific quotes as rate may vary due to dates, route, and number of participants.

Capacity

The Schooner Seaward can carry 40 passengers within the Bay. If in ocean waters more than 20 miles from land we carry up to 20 passengers. For educational programs we recommend no more than 33 students (the remainder of spaces may be filled with adults). For overnight programs we can accommodate up to 14 passengers.

Scholarships

Call of the Sea’s mission is to provide quality education programs. We offer need-based scholarships and discounted rates to certain groups and individuals. Please call or email for more information.

Payment

A 20% deposit is required within 14 days of booking to confirm the reservation. Full payment is required 14 days in advance of the date of the sail.

Cancellation

If the sail is cancelled 60 days or more prior to the date of the charter, the deposit will be refunded minus a $100 administration fee. If it is cancelled less than 60 days before the charter the deposit will be retained unless the ship can be rescheduled. In that case, the deposit would be refunded minus a $100 administration fee. If it is between 0 and 14 days of the charter date, the entire payment will be retained.

Weather

If the vessel captain and Call of the Sea Management decide it is safe to sail and the Charter Party wants to cancel, the above cancellation terms apply. If there is a mutual decision to cancel, the preferred option is to reschedule, otherwise any payment will be returned less a $100 administration fee.
